This week was focused on constructing the additional truss components for the junction to ensure it is stable. A new crossbeam was made for the start of the junction as the existing design was not Kong enough to span the new width, and the change in single between the two vertical hangars would not be able to be matched. To make it easier to manufacture and use as many existing components as before the new cross beam was designed using two straight sections of 2x4 rectangular tubing with angled spacers at the end to ensure the sides can be connected securely, this is shown in the figure below.
