Week 4
This week was focused on finishing up the designs for the track modifications. Evelia worked on ensuring that the third rail for route selection was compatible with the existing track and created a possible alternative solution to support the track at the junction. My work this week was to finalize the modifications to the existing track to meet our design requirements. Figure 1 and 2 below show the planned designs for the wooden track additions, as well as the new support that will secure the center portion of the junction.
